This evening, I am posting information on Scott family history as sourced from a family memorial stone at Old Cathcart Cemetery, Glasgow. This records the deaths of:
- Captain William Scott, Royal Marines, Dec 18th 1883 age 73 years.
Children:
- William, died at Portsmouth 1855
- Jessie, died at Chatham, 1861.
- Hamett, daughter, June 21st 1907.
- Son, John, May 18th 1914
- Alexander, son, died in Australia Aug 8th 1921.
- Mary, daughter, died Sept 11th 1925.
- Margaret, Daughter, died Jan 24th 1930.
Phoebe Buchanan, wife, died Feb 26th 1900 age 76 yrs.
